Mochi Do About Nothing

Lawson Inada, Oregon’s poet laureate, will lend his voice and artistry to "Mochi Do About Nothing" in the Performing Arts Center. The stirring rhythms and exuberant energy of Portland Taiko, an Asian American drum performance group, and their youth group, Tanuki Taiko, will bring excitement to the program. Robert Kikuchi-Yngojo of Eth-No-Tec of San Francisco has made the Mochitsuki celebration in Portland an annual tradition, helping the program attract a larger and larger audience each year. Sahomi Tachibana and her dancers and the Fujinami-Kai dance troupe will grace the stage with beautiful Japanese dance.
