Hands-on activities such as calligraphy, flower arranging and crafts compliment the informational displays by many community organizations.

New to this year’s Mochitsuki celebration is the delicious Japanese cuisine prepared by the PCC Food Service Department which will open its sushi bar and serve Japanese specialties for the event. The Wok This Way venue, in the PCC dining center, will serve up a plate with one entree with either rice or yakisoba plus vegetables for $4.25.  A two-entree plate with either rice or yakisoba and vegetables is $5.25 and the hugely satisfying three-entree plate is just $6.25.  Trays of assorted sushi are $3.95 to $4.65 each.  The Juice It Up! Bar will be open during the Cultural Fair for coffee and smoothies.  Ready-to-go sushi packs will also be available there.  The dining center and the juice bar are both located on the lower level of the College Center.

The Community Stage, a focal point of the Cultural Fair, will feature lively performances by various school and community groups, storytelling by Alton Chung, martial arts, music, and dance from Okinawa.
